1. How long does it take to build a new home?

Once the contract is signed, it usually takes 4-5 months to complete a new home.

2. How much does it cost to get started on my new home?

With the signing of the contract, we require a construction deposit, usually based on the sale price of the home. Carrington Homes will carry the remaining expense of construction until the home is completed and closing occurs.

3. What if I need to move right away?

We have inventory homes available for quick move-in located in each of our neighborhoods. If you would like to build a custom home, we can assist you in finding a month-to-month rental until your new home is completed.

4. Do I need to use a Realtor to build a new home?

If you are currently working with a Realtor, we would be happy to include them in our process. If you are not currently working with a Realtor, our sales staff and customer assistant will handle everything for you. They will help you decide which floorplan, homesite and options you would like, write up the contract, and help you with your selection decisions for the interior and exterior of your new home.  We’ll take you all the way through the process, from start to finish. We make it easy!

5.  Do I have to use one of your floorplans?

To provide you with the best value, we prefer to use our current house plans. However, we would be happy to price any plan you would like to build, or check to see if your plan closely resembles one of our current plans. We can make minor modifications to any of our plans to build the dream home you have in mind.

6.  Do we have to build in your subdivisions?

If you have a home site or know of a home site in or near the areas that we are currently building, we would be happy to take a look at it and determine if we would be able to build on it for you.
